The school invites applications for up to 6 grants for the next school year

Send a brief application explaining why you want to become a bisse to rektor@sundfhs.no. Application deadline: Thursday, March 15, 2018.
We are looking for students who would like to spend another year at Sund and use this year to get to know the school even better, work with the students in the afternoons and evenings, have teaching practice and work on a specialization project.

Course content

  • Social pedagogical work towards the school's main course
  • Teaching practice under supervision
  • Practical work tasks
  • Participation in meetings
  • Academic area of specialization

Annual plan for the bites

The yearly plan for the assistants mainly follows the teachers' working year. There is a separate pre-course for the assistants before the school year starts.

  • Pre-course for new bisser 13-15 August 2018
  • Pre-work days with the school's employees August 16-24, 2018
  • The school year starts August 25, 2018 and ends around May 20, 2019
  • Post-work days May 21-23, 2019

Tasks

  • Internship (approx. 25-35% of the program)
    • Teaching (under guidance) in Cross-disciplinary subjects for all students, Program subjects and/or electives
    • Social pedagogical work
    • Events with students
    • Follow-up of foreign students (language training)
    • Interpretation into English
  • Meetings and incidental tasks (approx. 20% of the program)
    • Participate in educational meetings, planning days and other meetings as agreed
    • Practical tasks
    • Transportation tasks
    • Training in first aid
  • Participation in main course (approx. 15% of the program)
    • Participates in morning sessions of common subjects and some Saturday seminars
  • Professional immersion (approx. 10% of the program)
    • Academic specialization subject
  • Follow-up, preparation and follow-up (approx. 20-30% of the program)
    • Individual/group
    • Guidance
    • Teaching and training

Economy

The grant has a value of approximately NOK 125,000 and covers

  • School fees, board and lodging. Value approximately NOK 100,000
  • 1,200 NOK/month for 9 months - a total of NOK 10,800
  • Academic in-depth project (or study trip): up to NOK 15,000
  • In addition, an employment contract can be entered into for fire watch/night watch and substitute pay in connection with substitute hours or other assignments for the school.

Where to stay

The children live at the school. It is planned and desirable that the children live together in one corridor.

Diploma

You'll receive a special certificate showing what you've worked on during the year.
