Here we introduce our employees:
Anders has a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to the environment. He has broad international experience from traveling and living in Latin America. It's never difficult to know what Anders thinks about things, and he's happy to share his thoughts on everything that's important to do something about in the world.
Our teacher has 6 years of education in the subject from England and Norway and has run her own photography business for years. Janne works with her own work (see jannesvit.com) in addition to teaching and has held courses and workshops at vocational schools and for the private sector in addition to working at Sund. Janne is passionate about the subject!
Tina is a woman with a big heart for food, and who worked as a chef for many years before she came to Sund She loves teaching how to cook, and calls herself a food nerd.
She comes from Verdal, where she lives with her partner and two children.
In her free time, she spends a lot of time with her family if she's not in the kitchen or out in nature.
Ola Høyer is a teacher at the jazz school and plays double bass. Ola is one of jazz Norway's best double bassists, and plays in bands such as Cortex and Honest John. He also collaborates extensively with other jazz musicians, including Anja Lauvdal and RadioLaria.
Ola is from Bergen, and has been a student at Sund folk high school . He graduated from the jazz program at NTNU in Trondheim, and lives in Bergen.
Mona Krogstad is a saxophonist, composer and educator from Trondheim. She studied jazz at NTNU and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Mona has many irons in the fire, and plays in bands such as JUNO, Superspreder and Ladybird Orchestra. She is also a producer in Trøndelag Big Band.
Mona thinks music is one of the most beautiful forms of communication - and it shows!
Øystein Viem is a teacher on the course Historical handicraft , and also works as a museum craftsman and mediator at Stiklestad . He is committed and knowledgeable to the max, and an exceptionally versatile craftsman who does everything from knife making to fish skin tanning. He is also a pleasant person from Trøndelag, who has a freezer full of run-over animals for future tanning.
Kristin is a line teacher at Historical handicraft . She has worked at Sund for many years, and has herself been a student at the school. She ensures that the craft students get on well at Sundbobla. To weave is to live, says Kristin. Who is also very fond of recycling, gardening, embroidery and leather sewing.
Jakob has worked as a junior expert for FAO in Cambodia and at the head office in Rome. He has extensive experience of study trips to many different countries. In addition to a keen interest in international issues and politics, he is passionate about exercise and outdoor life, and is a ski and kayak instructor.
Astrid loves jazz, organic farming and has a flair for languages. She has previously worked as a journalist and editor at NRK for a number of years. She has a degree in political science, journalism and education. Astrid is also a member of NORDEM and occasionally works as an election observer abroad. She's now back at Sund, after a year as principal at Svalbard folk high school.
Eirik Stensland is a down-to-earth northerner from Hamarøy in Nordland. He has a background in elementary school, cultural school and upper secondary school. Eirik is passionate about giving our pupils a good education and ensuring that they experience mastery and personal development. He is an avid singer and musician at a hobby level, and enjoys being part of the school's social life.
