Sund 150 years in 2018
In 2018, Sund turns 150 years old. We will mark this with various events throughout the year that showcase the school, both past and present.
In Norwegian folk high school , there are currently no schools older than Sund folk high school . As the country's oldest folk high school still in operation, we are proud to celebrate Sund 150 years.
January
Opening the anniversary year with a historical look back
Time: Sunday, January 21 at 15-18
Location: Sund folk high school
Sund folk high school celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2018. We give a historical introduction and look at the school's long history. There will be lectures on both Grundtvig and folk high school history, and former students will share memories from their time at Sund.

Sund folk high school's international engagement
Time: Sunday, March 4 at 18-20
Location: Sund folk high school
We take a historical look back at travel activities, student exchanges and school projects in Guatemala. What are we doing today and why, with examples of political actions, students' information work about the study trips, and academic programs. What should be the school's involvement in the future, and how do we create it?
The event is free of charge.
The age of sustainability
Time: Thursday 15 and Friday 16 March
Location: Sund folk high school
A two-day conference that sheds light on the topic of sustainability from different angles. Lectures and panel discussions with professionals and experts on the topic.
The conference is free and open to all.

Dreambird

Location: Akset
Jazzlinja at Sund folk high school performs music by Stina Stjern together with students from Peder Morset folk high school. The concert will also be held at Peder Morset folk high school on Monday, April 9.
The Sound Festival

Opening of anniversary exhibition with Killi Olsen

This year's summer exhibition at Nils Aas kunstverksted is an anniversary exhibition with former Sundelev Erik Killi Olsen. Ketil Haugsand plays at the opening.
The exhibition is open all summer.

Sund and Inderøy – a historical retrospective

Location: Sund folk high school
There have always been close ties between the folk high school and the local community. The folk high school has been a cultural center in the village. The folk high school brought new people to Inderøy , and many of them left their mark on the local community. In collaboration with Inderøy Museum and History Association We tell this story.

"Midsummer night on Inderøen"
Date: Thursday, October 18, 6-7:30 p.m.

Slide presentation about the artist Einar Øfsti by Robert Øfsti.
Conversation with Odd Johan Fritzøe about the dance performance "Sankthansnatt på Inderøen" (Midsummer Night's Eve on Inderøen) that Dans i Trøndelag is putting on during the Hilmar Festival . A small excerpt from the performance is presented.
Sankthansnatt på Inderøen is Odd Johan Fritzøe's next full-length performance with new music by Gjermund Larsen from Verdal. Together with dancers Victoria Husby, Guro Gulstad, Severin Romer Iversen and Aleksander Aarø, we create a pastoral dance adventure from a magical summer festival in Innherred. The inspiration is folk tales and the stage design is a large painting by the painter Einar Øfsti - also from Innherred. The performance develops as a game between people in the present, but contains elements from folk music and folk tales, including a black bear that appears and creates a dramaturgical tension and development in the dance.

The first class started on November 2, 1868. Now we're celebrating that the school has been going strong for 150 years. This will be the evening of the official celebration of the 150th anniversary.

Christmas concert at the jazz club
